Lester Peter Gideon, Sr at about 8 years
old in 1899, taken at Excelsior, Minn

This photo is not identified. But, it is either
one of Peter Miller Gideon's daughters
(possibly Florence who wed Charles H.
Webster [b. 1865; d. 23 Feb 1900] or wife
of one of his sons. On the other hand it
could also be Sophia (nee ?) Gideon, wife
of Ansel Peter Gideon (mother of Lester
Peter, Sr.)
|
This photo was also not identified, but was
taken at the Miller Photographers, 415
Nicolet Ave, Minneapolis, at the same time
as the one on the left. It could either be
Charles Webster, or one of the sons of
Peter M. Gideon. Also, on the other hand,
it could be Ansel Peter Gideon.

This photo was so faded that we had to
really enhance it when scanning it. It has a
name on the back of Kenneth H. Gideon.
No date, but estimated to be in the late
1800s. It was taken at Portland, Oregon by
Prof. G. L. Eastman, 388 E. Morrison.
Might this not be Lester Peter Gideon, Sr's
brother Kenneth Gideon, who was born in
1889 and died within the year? How come
the photo was made in Portland? Or, is it
of some other Kenneth Gideon. If so what
was it doing in the family album? The
mystery thickens. The ashes of Kenneth
are in an urn in the Gideon family niche at
the Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood,
California. In the same niche are the ashes
of Ansel Peter, Sophia (Kraus), Lester
Peter, Sr, and Edythe (Lynch).
